SPORT

Everyone likes SPORT.

Some are ARMCHAIR players while others are participants.

But this article argues the requirement to play contact sports at school.

many schools require the students to play contact sports, such as football or rugby and while these sports exhibit the "manliness" in young boys, they are not the type of sports for all students.
Everyone is different and some young students do not have any aggressive tendencies and shy away from any type of contact activity.

Our argument is not about the non-participants, but those encouraged or eager to participate in such activities.

No-one has ever highlighted the enormous stress and damage inflicted on a body when two participants collide. Not only is the body traumatized but the effect of the head and brain on such a collision is enormous.

The world is a funny place. If playing CHESS resulted in death and hospitalisation to the same extent that results from contact sports, the "Game of Kings" would be banned.

Just because it's "sportsmanship" to play football makes it acceptable.
This has no logic.
A dangerous sport is dangerous game and fortunately many schools have provided an option for students.
But these "gladiator" sports still exist, mainly due to the backing of large sponsors, who see the audience at the grounds as a captive audience for their messaging.

This article is aimed at anyone who has a young student, to make the decision to save him participating in any form of contact sport. There are many other activities, including athletics and gym that will improve his strength and stamina and avoid any of the perils.

As the body gets older, there are enough complications to contend-with without having sports injuries to complicate the matter.
Even the slightest injury when you are young will manifest itself as a major concern when you are old.
We see this with back, leg, arm and shoulder injuries from playing sport and the cost can be crippling.

Before partaking in any form of sport or endurance activity, consider the consequences.
Every body only has a limited number of repetitions and if you use these up when you are young, the remainder of your life is existed in agony.

It's a pity these type of comments cannot be made in mainstream editorials, because it's not "sportsmanlike," and the companies behind sports will edit the content.

But: facts are facts.    Just look at the number of SPORTS INJURIES CENTRES and those unable to work due to injury, to see the enormous number of suffers.

Don't let yourself be one.
