This is a top loading desktop unit designed for standard size audio cassettes. It is complemented with a built-in microphone which can be used for dictating. It has microphone and remote inputs and an earphone output. It comes with an AC adapter allowing mains operation, and a battery compartment requiring 4 x 'C' size cells (6 volts DC). The unit's 'remote' socket is specially modified to allow an external device to control the operation of the tape recorder.

S-TR01S Desktop Tape Recorder with Speed Control. $165.00
This is the same tape recorder as the TR-01 with an extra feature, slow down. The slow down feature consists of an external switch used to toggle between standard speed operation and slow down. The speed is then selected by adjusting an external rotary pot. Clockwise for motor speed increase, anti-clockwise for motor speed decrease (slow down). This feature can allow 2-3 times greater recording time.

This is a compact palm size unit designed for standard size audio cassettes. It has sockets to cater for earphones and an external microphone. It is complemented with a built-in microphone and features a voice activation system (VAS). The sensitivity of the V.A.S. is adjusted using the volume control dial while in record mode. The unit is modified and fitted with a remote socket to allow for external control of operation. The unit requires 2 x 'AA' size batteries (3 volts DC).

This is a very compact recording unit designed for micro size audio cassettes. It has a built in microphone and caters for an external microphone and earphones. This unit features the voice activated system (VAS) and the sensitivity can be adjusted with it's volume control dial while in record mode. The unit is modified and has a remote input to allow for external control of operation. The unit requires 2 x 'AA' batteries (3 volts DC).

S-DVR19 19 hour Digital Voice

This recorder has two recording modes depending on the duration required. SP mode for best recording will record for a maximum of 9 hours and 35 minutes and LP mode will record for 19 hours.
Other modes available are VOX, microphone sensitivity high or low, key beep and scan index mode.
Unit comes with external microphone, mono earphone, batteries, user manual and CD ROM PC software to transfer audio to your PC as WAV files.
Including batteries the unit weighs 60 grams and the battery life is 11 hours recording or 10 hours playback through the earphones. Longer times can be achieved with alkaline or lithium batteries.
Our tests prove that in LP mode, the recording quality is better than that of a micro cassette recorder and because there are no moving parts, the unit should last forever.
