This is a hand-held broad band receiver scanning frequencies between 30Mhz - 300Mhz. It detects transmitting bugs in a room, car, office or telephone. With a sweeping motion the units extendable antenna is probed into all parts of the suspicious room. Primary detection of a transmitting device results in a squealing  feedback and secondary detection, activated by turning the volume down, indicates signal strength of a transmitting device. In tracing the direction of the signal strength you would almost definitely pin-point any transmitting bugs in the room.

We were amazed at the performance of this unit. We were able to detect our S-SB1000 set at 94MHz up to 5 metres away, a 900MHz video transmitter with a 50 metre range was detected 3 metres away and a 2.4GHz video transmitter with a 20 metre range was detected 2 metres away.

The detecting range of this unit is from 50MHz to 3GHz or 3000MHz.

The LED bar graph indicates the strength or proximity of the transmitter and a beep from a built in speaker will progress faster the closer you get to the transmitter.

There is also a battery low indicator that will illuminate when the batteries are low.

The unit weighing 90 grams comes with batteries,  earphone for personal listening and instructions.

The unit requires internal adjustment before it will operate on a line. It will not detect bugs that are already installed. It only detects bugs if they have been added after the unit is installed.
