Active Microphone (adjustable open assembly) 

This audio device is suitable for use within the growing Security and Surveillance Industry.

The vast majority of surveillance and video systems incorporate inferior built-in microphones, often rendering a vital component of the system - the audio recording, useless and indeed compromising the functionality of the entire system. This effectively prevents the end user from being able to play back and analyze a distinguishable audio stream.

The Active Microphone can be applied to any new or existing audio recording system. This device will greatly improve the quality and sensitivity of the audio pick-up. It will also enhance the volume that is accquired through your audio recording system, providing you with dramatically improved overall audio clarity.

The Active Mic has a higher frequency range, rated  in MHz, than the human ear. This  enables your surveillance system to record a broader range of sounds than if you were on location.

Designed with Surface-mount technology and an integrated circuit, this pre-amplifier is supplied with a thumb pot - volume control.

The Active Microphone is not merely confined for use within a  security or surveillance system, but can be used with any integrated or stand alone audio recording setup.

You can install up to four Active Microphones in parallel to each other to create a 360° radial Microphone. With this setup, you will no longer have to waste valuable time finding ‘the best spot’ for the microphone’s location.

SETUP
The setup and wiring  for the Active Microphone is universal, requiring only a very fast and simple installation method.

The Active Microphone will require a 3v to 12v power source and an audio line, which it will be attached to.

In most instances, the microphone and camera in a security system will be relatively close to each other. This will mean that a 12v source is readily available from the camera  to power the Active Mic.
