• The GPRS Cube is a real-time GPS tracking system measuring only 100 x 50 x 55mm with the Lithium Ion battery pack attached. By using careful power management combined with a movement detection system it gives up to one week of typical tracking using the Li-Ion battery and features an internal charger system allowing the system to be recharged in four hours.

The unit features magnetic mounting and is provided in a weather resistant metal enclosure. Data can be transferred back to a host system running the GPS Wedge software in real-time and the only special requirement is an Internet connection with a static IP address. GPRS charges are billed on data only so you don't pay call establishment costs savings thousands of dollars per annum over GPS tracking systems based on GSM or SMS.

The unit features tri-band GPRS operation for international coverage and most networks send data packets within about 5 seconds of transmission for very good real-time GPS tracking. When the system is out of network contact it can continue logging positions to memory and send back to the host system once the connection is re-established so that no points are lost. Complex triggers may also be defined so that only required data is logged to memory or sent via the GPRS connection to reduce communications costs.
